Footage by veteran war reporter Antonio Russo shot during the Second Russo-Chechen War 1999/2000. On Oct 16th, 2000, Russo's frozen corpse was found at Gombori Pass in the Caucasus, just 2 days before a crucial UN vote request by Putin to sanction the Chechen rebels. His killers had been careful not to leave behind traces; Russo's flat was broken into and his equipment and footage were removed.
